SJVTC students earn HOSA awards 2019

Mrs. Marie May Chasse’s Health Occupation students from the St. John Valley Technology Center won 23 medals at the 43rd Annual Maine State Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) competitions in Bangor on May 10, 2019.
The St. John Valley was well represented by mature and hard-working young adults. The HOSA Bowl (4-person) team competitions: Austin Dechaine, Amber Sandstrom, Amber Hebert & Lakota Bouchard won Gold Medals, and Cady Hebert, Keri Hebert, Elizabeth Dufresne & Colby Gervais wonSilver. The First Aid CPR (2-person) team: Austin Dechaine & Amber Sandstrom won Gold Medals, and Rikki Ouellette & Heather Whitley won Silver.The Nursing Assistant Competition: Keri Hebert won Gold a Medal, Heather Whitley & Lakota Bouchard tied for Silver. In the Job Seeking Skills Competition: Austin Dechaine & Lakota Bouchard tied for Gold. The Medical Terminology competition: Amber Sandstrom won a Silver Medal and Cady Hebert & Elizabeth Dufresne tied for Bronze. In the Home Health Aide Competition: Amber Hebert won a Gold Medal, and Colby Gervais & Rikki Ouellette tied for Silver. Congratulations
